NGOPI TMA: Smart IT Talks on AI and AiTMA, Serious Yet Relaxed on Discord

On April 24, 2026, TMA once again hosted its internal knowledge-sharing forum titled NGOPI (Ngobrol Pintar IT / Smart IT Talk)—a regular initiative designed to create a space for exchanging insights, ideas, and experiences in technology. Unlike conventional meetings, this session was conducted online via Discord, reflecting TMA’s flexible, adaptive, and digitally collaborative work culture.
This NGOPI session focused on the theme of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the development of TMA’s flagship product, AiTMA. The discussion was led by Bayu Eka Putranto, affectionately known as Mas Bey, who served as the main speaker. With his engaging and energetic delivery, Mas Bey successfully created an atmosphere that was both informative and enjoyable.
The session explored how AI continues to evolve rapidly and has become an integral part of modern digital solutions. Within TMA’s context, the discussion centered on how AiTMA is being developed not only as a technologically advanced platform but also as a solution that addresses real user needs. Topics such as intent recognition, tool calling, and the application of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) were presented in a way that was both accessible and in-depth.
The conversation became even more dynamic with the presence of Kang Kusumah, widely known as TMA’s “server tinkerer” and AI enthusiast. With his relaxed yet insightful style, he shared practical perspectives on AI implementation at the infrastructure level and experimental approaches to technology. His spontaneous remarks often sparked deeper discussions while keeping the session lively and engaging.
Equally valuable was the contribution from Hansen Tanjung, a solution architect and Akhmad Sofyan, known as Mang Made, Big Data Platform expert. Hansen provided a strategic viewpoint on how AI—particularly AiTMA—can be integrated with TMA’s broader data ecosystem. He emphasized the importance of building scalable and sustainable architectures to ensure that AI solutions are not only powerful at the start but also capable of evolving alongside business needs.
Throughout the session, participant engagement was highly active. Discord proved to be an effective platform, enabling dynamic interaction through voice channels, chat discussions, and screen sharing. Participants were encouraged to share questions, opinions, and experiences freely, creating an open and participative environment. The session avoided rigid formality, and instead, its relaxed tone became a key strength in fostering openness.
Interestingly, despite the informal setting, the quality of discussion remained high. Numerous ideas emerged—from potential new features for AiTMA and integration opportunities with other TMA products, to practical approaches for implementation across different industry use cases. Light-hearted remarks often carried meaningful insights, reflecting a unique blend of humor and intelligence that characterizes TMA’s culture.
This NGOPI session also demonstrated that effective communication does not always require formal settings. A more fluid and relaxed approach allows individuals to feel more comfortable contributing, ultimately building a healthy, open, and respectful communication culture. In the long term, this kind of environment significantly enhances both innovation speed and collaboration quality within the team.
Moreover, the use of Discord highlights TMA’s commitment to adopting modern tools that align with today’s work dynamics. With features that support real-time communication and community-based channels, Discord serves as an ideal platform for activities like NGOPI—especially in a distributed work environment where teams are not always physically co-located.
Through NGOPI, TMA not only creates a space for collective learning but also strengthens its identity as an organization that continuously evolves and adapts to technological change. The discussion on AI and AiTMA is particularly relevant, as both are central to TMA’s long-term strategy in building data-driven and AI-powered products.
This initiative is expected to continue consistently as a positive weekly routine—one that not only enhances technical knowledge but also strengthens relationships across teams. With a spirit of sharing and collaboration, NGOPI becomes more than just a discussion forum; it becomes part of TMA’s journey in building a strong and competitive technology ecosystem.
NGOPI is not just about talking—it’s about learning, sharing, and growing together.
