TMA Commemorates the Islamic New Year 1448 H: Strengthening Faith, Unity, and Purpose on the Journey Toward Blessings

On Friday evening, June 19, 2026, the entire family of PT Tech Mayantara Asia (TMA) gathered to commemorate the Islamic New Year 1448 Hijri at the TMA Bandung office. The event began at 5:00 PM, immediately after working hours, and was attended by employees from various divisions across the company. The occasion was made even more meaningful by the presence of several team members from Jakarta, who took the opportunity to travel and join the gathering in person.
More than a ceremonial celebration, the Islamic New Year event served as a moment of reflection, gratitude, and spiritual renewal. It provided an opportunity for all members of TMA to strengthen their faith, reaffirm their shared values, and remember the greater purpose that has guided the company since its establishment. Amid the rapid pace of technological advancement and the ever-changing business landscape, participants were invited to reflect on a fundamental truth: there are many aspects of life and the future that remain beyond human control and can only be entrusted to Allah سبحانه وتعالى.
The event opened with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, specifically Surah An-Nahl verses 96 to 100. The verses were recited solemnly, creating a peaceful and reflective atmosphere among those in attendance. These passages remind believers that whatever exists in this world is temporary, while what is with Allah is everlasting. The message of these verses became the central theme of the evening’s reflections.
In his keynote address, TMA President Director, Deden Himawan, explained that the gathering was organized as a collective effort to seek Allah’s protection and guidance for the company and for every individual who is part of the TMA family.
He emphasized that both today and in the years ahead, humanity faces countless uncertainties. Economic fluctuations, technological disruptions, market changes, and personal life challenges are all reminders that human beings possess limited control over the course of events. While people can plan, strive, and work hard, the final outcome ultimately belongs to Allah.
“What comes from Allah is everlasting, and what is with Him is far better. This is where faith, conviction, and complete trust in Allah become essential,” Deden stated during his speech.
He further invited everyone to revisit the original intention behind the establishment of TMA. According to him, TMA was never intended to be merely a workplace or a means of earning a living. From its inception, the company was envisioned as a community for individuals who share a common aspiration: to pursue a life filled with blessings, both materially and spiritually, in this world and in the Hereafter.
Deden explained that true success should not be measured solely through revenue growth, project achievements, or business expansion. Rather, genuine success lies in the company’s ability to become a place where individuals can grow, contribute, and attain a meaningful and fulfilling life according to the values they believe in.
During his remarks, he also referred to Surah An-Nahl verse 97, which promises that those who believe and perform righteous deeds—whether men or women—will be granted a good life and rewarded according to the best of what they have done.
He elaborated that righteous deeds should not be viewed only through the lens of ritual worship. In a professional environment, righteous deeds can take the form of honest work, responsibility, dedication, excellence, and contributions that bring benefit to others. Every individual, regardless of role or position, has the opportunity to transform daily work into meaningful acts of goodness when carried out with sincerity and purpose.
In line with this perspective, Deden shared one of TMA’s upcoming organizational priorities: developing a more structured understanding of the skills, competencies, and potential of every employee. The objective is not merely organizational efficiency, but to ensure that each individual can grow and contribute according to their talents, interests, and personal capacities.
He emphasized that every person possesses unique strengths and capabilities. When individuals are placed in roles that align with their abilities and are provided with opportunities to develop, they are more likely to thrive professionally while also experiencing personal fulfillment and well-being.
Beyond discussing individual development, Deden also shared an important organizational milestone. As part of its commitment to continuous improvement, TMA has begun preparations for the implementation of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification.
This initiative reflects the company’s determination to establish stronger governance, improve operational processes, and build a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Through standardized and measurable management practices, TMA aims to strengthen its foundation for sustainable growth while delivering better value to customers and stakeholders.
Although the topics discussed were profound and reflective, the atmosphere throughout the event remained warm and familial. Employees from different departments interacted freely, exchanging thoughts about work, personal growth, future aspirations, and the company’s direction.
The presence of colleagues from Jakarta added a special dimension to the gathering. Despite their busy schedules and ongoing projects, their willingness to travel and participate underscored a shared sense of belonging and commitment to the company’s values. It served as a reminder that TMA is more than an organization—it is a community connected by common goals and shared principles.
The Islamic New Year celebration also highlighted an important perspective: the journey of a company is ultimately the journey of the people within it. When individuals grow in competence, character, and faith, the organization itself becomes stronger, healthier, and more resilient.
As the formal reflections concluded, the event was closed with a collective prayer seeking Allah’s blessings, protection, guidance, and mercy for the entire TMA family. Participants prayed for strength in facing future challenges, wisdom in making decisions, and continued opportunities to contribute positively through their work.
The evening concluded with a traditional tumpeng-cutting ceremony, symbolizing gratitude for the blessings, achievements, and experiences that TMA has received throughout its journey. The ceremony also represented hope for continued prosperity, unity, and success in the years ahead.
Through the commemoration of the Islamic New Year 1448 Hijri, TMA reaffirmed its belief that sustainable growth is built not only through technology, innovation, and business strategy, but also through faith, shared values, and a sense of higher purpose. By maintaining this balance, TMA aspires to continue growing as a company that delivers professional excellence while bringing blessings and meaningful impact to employees, customers, partners, and society as a whole.
